The Three Cultures Foundation holds a Seminar on Hate Speech, Responsible Journalism and Social Action

The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, in collaboration with the Ruta Mediterránea Association and the Anna Lindh Foundation, is co-organising the Seminar on Hate Speech, Responsible Journalism and Social Action, on 26 March from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
In a global context marked by polarisation and the proliferation of hate speech on social networks and in the media, this seminar seeks to create a space for reflection and debate on the role of journalism and social action in the construction of a more inclusive society.
Using a multidisciplinary approach, the meeting will address the challenges faced by both communication professionals and civil society organisations in the fight against disinformation and the promotion of democratic values.
The event will be structured around two panel discussions. The first, ‘Journalism and hate speech’, will feature experts such as Jesús Toronjo (Regional Government of Andalusia), José Lugo (La Razón) and Alicia Moreno Delgado (International University of La Rioja), who will analyse the impact of hate speech in the press and on social networks. The second panel, ‘Social Action and Polarisation’, will bring together representatives of the Red Cross, the Atenea Foundation and the SEPT PLACES Association, who will share experiences and good practices to combat exclusion and discrimination.
The day will conclude with a musical performance by Iranian artist and activist Farnaz Ohadi, closing a space for reflection and commitment to the promotion of responsible journalism and effective social action.
