La firma emiratí Hotpack Global dominará el sector del envase marroquí

Hotpack Global, one of the most important companies in the packaging sector worldwide, has just announced that it is going to set up in Morocco. In a statement, the firm has declared that from now on it will control 80% of the entire Moroccan packaging industry. This plan will follow a partnership with Best Financiers, one of Retail Holding's investment subsidiaries.
Retail Holding is the largest retail company in the Maghreb kingdom. It is a firm that has agreements with international franchises such as Carrefour, Kiabi, Virgin Megastore and Burger King, among others. Its partnership with Hotpack Global will allow it to create an exclusive franchise agreement that will position the company in the Moroccan retail market. This will allow both brands to almost completely dominate the packaging sector in the North African nation.
Through this agreement, the two brands aim to increase the Emirati firm's investment in manufacturing facilities in Morocco. In the same way, it is also intended to expand the company's presence in other African countries, taking advantage of the investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom.
It should be recalled that Morocco has a strong policy of investment opportunities for international companies. The government has established large tax reductions and fiscal advantages, which make the country a very attractive place to do business in this region.
"This partnership will help us penetrate the neighbouring countries and increase our retail market share there," said Abdul Jebbar, CEO of Hotpack. He also said it is a strategic idea to access the African market and, if necessary, reach out to Europe. "It will also enhance our operations in North West Africa and Ghana," continued Jebbar.

On the other hand, the chairman of Best Financiers, Zouhair Benanni, confirmed the partnership with the Emirati company in which he stressed that there will be very good economic benefits. "It will set new benchmarks in terms of health, safety and quality in the Moroccan and African packaging markets," he said in a statement to the press.
The two businessmen held a ceremony for the signing of their partnership document. The event was also attended by Abdelatif Maezaq, director of Samaz, Ziaz Merzaq, general manager of Hotpack Global SA in Morocco and Riyad Alaissaoi, financial director of Best Financers.
Hotpack was founded in the United Arab Emirates in 1995 and is based in Dubai. For more than two decades, the company has been a leading provider of food packaging solutions and has become a major global player in the food packaging industry. Thanks to the leadership of this brand, Hotpack has been able to expand into other industries to manufacture other types of packaging. This Emirati business is aiming high and, by 2030, wants to be recognised as the world's number one brand in the packaging industry. It wants to do this through efforts and projects that allow it to achieve innovation.
In the Emirates, it has more than 12 material manufacturing plants. These occupy an area of over two million square feet providing its products to the region and other territories. These industries have the latest generation of equipment dedicated to the creation of packaging, as well as a large logistics and warehousing support system.
In recent years, one of its flagship products has been biodegradable packaging. The company manufactures cups, bowls, plates, trays, containers, etc., all of which are disposable and environmentally friendly. They even manufacture plastic and paper tableware, bags, foams, hygiene products, aluminium foil and much more.
Hotpack is one of the world's leading packaging companies. The brand has subsidiaries in 27 countries in Africa, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, India and Australia. In addition, it is worth noting that it exports a considerable number of products, delivering packaging solutions to more than 100 countries around the world.
