SteelFab 2022 kicks off with its 17th edition in the Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is kicking off one of its important exhibitions known as SteelFab 2022, which this year marks its 17th edition. The fair will be held at the Expo Centre Sharjah, which is responsible for its realisation in conjunction with the support of the city's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and will last for four days. This fair is the MENA region's largest event in the sector and has become a vital engine in the manufacturing industry that drives the region's non-oil economy.
The event aims to showcase the technologies and inventions that have stood out over the years, coinciding with the Fourth Industrial Revolution that the steel sector is undergoing. The fair will show the latest innovations in the latest equipment, new machinery being used in the steel industry, new innovations in the way metals are treated, as well as systems that involve an improvement in their production, such as the use of lasers for cutting, steel manufacturing machines, and robots controlled by artificial intelligence.
The metal fabrication industry is evolving rapidly to keep up with modern trends and technologies. The Internet of Things and connected machinery are disrupting the landscape and are rapidly taking hold in the metal fabrication industry in the region. The 17th edition of SteelFab 2021 will help better equip regional metal fabricators to take advantage of the new wave of technology, as explained by SteelFab organisers.

More than 400 brands from 30 countries and major players will participate in the event. The show features more than 150 exhibitors from leading local and international players in the field. SteelFab 2022 is supported and assisted by big name firms and leading companies such as UCIMU Sistemi Per Produrre - Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots, Automation Systems and Ancillary Products - in addition to the United Arab Emirates Contractors Association, Ventures Middle East (VME) and Construction Week Online (ITP). The Hamriya Contractors Free Zone Authority is also involved.
In turn, Expo Centre Sharjah is hosting the sixth Fasteners World Middle East festival. This festival will create a complete vertical show. It will showcase the entire steel industry. Last year, the exhibition featured a showcase of the variety of pipes, tools, machines and fasteners. This event is held in the UK pavilion and is attended by some of the leading nations in the metal industry such as Germany, Italy, Turkey and India. In addition, the exhibition itself will see a large presence of local Emirati companies keen to invest in the inventions on display, as well as learn about better ways of working in the field.
