Tenders open for the extension of the Coelma district in Tetuan

The development and economic promotion of the northern region of Morocco reaches the district of Coelma, Tetouan. To this end, the APDN has issued a call for tenders to carry out work on the industrial complex in the Coelma district, also known as the Economic Activities Zone (ZAE). The works will provide a major economic boost to the region in the form of jobs and the development of infrastructure in the periphery.
Located on the outskirts of the city, the complex, thanks to the new investment, will become one of the main economic and industrial hubs in the north-eastern region of the country. Work is due to begin on 14 June at a cost of approximately 126 million dirhams.
The 126 million project will be financed by the Regional Council of 60 million dollars, with the participation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the City of Tetouan, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, signed by the Regional Council of the region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima.
The extension will extend over 5 hectares and the works will be divided into 3 phases.

The first of these will consist of 60 premises and accommodation of the roads and access to the complex at a cost of 40 million dirhams. Among the works is the improvement of roads and access to the bridge of Kellaline and Douar Amezar Haut and a platform to link the future ZAE with the province of Ouazzani. Work on this phase of the project will begin on 3 June.
The second phase, which will start on 4 June, will see the construction of 47 additional premises for kindergartens, commercial and administrative premises, at a cost of 32 million euros. In addition, the access roads to the province of Fahs-Anjra will be restored. Finally, in the third phase, 33 will be built for 22 million to form a total of 140 premises, work on which will begin on 14 June.

The works required for the completion of the project include maintenance, metal framing, cladding, electrical and other works. The activities to be carried out in the complex include textiles, handicrafts and logistics. In order to attract foreign and local investment, the Coelma complex will promote the socio-economic growth of the district, the city, the region and the country.
The data are unbeatable
Based on the latest economic reports issued by the Regional Investment Centre of the Region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (CRI-TTA), finding companies willing to carry out the work will not be a problem.

92% of the companies surveyed were satisfied with the environment and the growth of the country, 100% were aware of the respect, despite the growth, of the environmental impact, and 94% considered that the investment in the region given by the fiscal conditions based on the Charter of Investments has been the main driver of the region.
So far, the date of completion of the works and the company or companies in charge of the project is unknown, although APDN estimated that the construction period will be around 12 months. In addition, the company has made available on its website the forms to be filled in to be part of the construction of the new Economic Activities Zone of Coelma, Tetouan.
