After five decades as a correspondent for La Vanguardia in Beirut, and briefly in Paris and Athens, Tomás Alcoverro offers us a sort of incipient memoir through a conversation with his colleague, the journalist Plàcid García-Planas.

'In Tomás Alcoverro. All to be said' does not speculate on the complicated Middle East, but rather describes traces of his autobiography, as well as historical moments in the region of which he was a privileged witness, or encounters as disparate as those of Gabriel García Márquez, recently arrived in Barcelona, or the return of the President of the Generalitat from his exile in Paris, on his return flight from Tours to the Catalan capital. It is a book in which the emotions eroded by time come to the surface, and not just the narration of turbulent times.

Tomás Alcoverro honours us, once again, with his presence at Three Cultures, in an event in which the presentation of this book will undoubtedly serve to portray not only his already very long career as a correspondent, but also the current affairs of a region that never ceases to be in the limelight.

Accompanying Tomás in the conversation will be the journalist Javier Fernández Arribas, director of the magazine Atalayar. The event will take place on 10 May, from 19h, at the Foundation's headquarters.
