Minsait, an Indra company, has implemented with the Agency for Digital Development (ADD) of Morocco an interoperability platform that enables secure and agile data sharing and information exchange between the country's different public administrations and institutions.
Thanks to this project, all the information systems of the administrations of the Kingdom of Morocco will be able to "talk to each other", regardless of their technological characteristics.
This is an initiative that the Moroccan government considers a priority to boost the digital transformation of the public sector, simplify processes and improve the provision of services. The interoperability between the different systems reduces processing cycles and the need to provide documentation that has been previously submitted to one of the connected administrations, as well as reducing human error and costs.
Other important contributions include obtaining a 360º vision of citizens and companies to better adapt services to their needs, the incorporation of new channels to facilitate the relationship with the administration and the promotion of collaboration between public and private organisations to encourage economic growth.
As a prior step to the implementation of the platform, Minsait has also collaborated with the DDA in the creation of an interoperability framework that enables the development of an institutional environment conducive to the sharing of data between different administrations and jurisdictions. At the moment, the Single Social Register (RSU), the MASSAR system and some social programmes are operational within the platform. The RSU will use this interoperability system to exchange data with other agencies (public and private) in order to validate and verify the data provided by households wishing to benefit from social protection programmes. In the case of MASSAR, the implemented solution allows exchanging information with different agencies/organisations to verify the status and data of students.
The interoperability platform is an open Internet of Things (IoT) system with Big Data capabilities from Minsait that allows for easy integration and sharing of information from different systems, applications and devices. Its technology also facilitates the encryption of communications to protect the confidentiality and integrity of information.
It should be noted that Onesait Platform is the "brain" of the urban data platform that the company has developed in Casablanca, one of the pillar projects of the city's digital transformation programme, which aims to become a benchmark for urban modernisation in Morocco. Its aim is to increase the efficiency of services such as waste collection or the management of slaughterhouses and wholesale markets, improve the quality of life of citizens and promote transparency.
Minsait's platform has outstanding references in Smart Cities projects in several Spanish cities, in addition to those developed in other European cities such as Antwerp and Helsinki.
Minsait, as part of the Indra Group, has had a presence in Morocco for more than 20 years, where it is a technology partner in some of the most emblematic projects. The technology company also opened a new office in Rabat in 2018, confirming its commitment to the country and boosting its capacity for growth in Africa.
Among the projects that Indra has carried out in Morocco, the technological implementation of its Rail Traffic Management system in the country's railway network for its comprehensive management stands out. It has also been collaborating with Morocco's Office National Des Aéroports (ONDA) for more than a decade to constantly modernise its air traffic management systems and has also implemented its operations management solutions in the Ports of Casablanca.
