Morocco presents its advances in aviation at the 2025 Paris Air Show

Morocco attended the 55th edition of the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget with a high-level delegation including ministers and industry leaders, with the aim of showcasing the technical and technological development of the Moroccan aeronautical industry to the world.
The delegation, led by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour; the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh; the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government for Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Karim Zidane; and the Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), Ali Seddiki, sought to reaffirm Morocco's position in the international aviation arena.

Accompanying the institutional representatives were representatives of the National Defence Administration (ADN), Royal Air Maroc (RAM), the Deposit and Management Fund (CDG), the National Airports Office (ONDA), as well as the Moroccan Aerospace Industries Group (GIMAS) and the Moroccan Aerospace Cluster (AMC), demonstrating a comprehensive approach combining public entities and private companies covering everything from production to air operations.
A joint statement noted that Morocco's participation was in line with the industrial modernisation strategy promoted by King Mohammed VI of Morocco, who has identified the aeronautical sector as a strategic area for the country's economic growth and development.
With more than 140 companies operating in fields such as cabling, precision parts manufacturing, assembly and engineering, and with a local integration rate exceeding 40%, the Moroccan aeronautical ecosystem is positioned as an attractive destination for foreign investment. This appeal is emerging strongly thanks to the favourable legal conditions provided by the New Investment Charter.

‘Under the leadership of Mohammed VI, a robust aviation industry has been built over the last two decades, which today offers great potential opportunities for global players in the sector,’ said Minister Mezzour. He added that the Paris Air Show will serve to highlight ‘Morocco's growing importance in the global aeronautical arena, the strength of its ecosystem and the expertise of its talent’.
Minister Kayouh also stressed the importance of the participation of an international player such as Morocco in an event that promotes the modernisation of the national aviation sector and strengthens the country's position as an important regional and international hub, in line with the strategic vision of the Moroccan monarch.
In addition, Kayouh assured that the development of the sector will increase the traffic capacity of the North African country's airports from 38 to 80 million passengers by 2030 and increase Royal Air Maroc's fleet from 50 to 200 aircraft by 2037.
Finally, Minister Zidane highlighted Morocco's desire to attract high-quality investment in the aviation sector. The presence at Le Bourget is seen as a key opportunity to connect with potential investors and showcase the possibilities offered by the country.

The aim is to consolidate the sector's achievements, promote the transfer of skills and technologies, and strengthen the local integration of the various sectors. Through these concrete initiatives, AMDIE is striving to establish Morocco as a leading platform in the industrial, logistical and technological fields, capable of meeting the growing demands of the global aeronautical sector and the challenges of industrial sovereignty for major contractors, the press release states.
With approximately 2,500 exhibitors, more than 130,000 professional visitors and 322 official delegations, the Paris Air Show is the global showcase for the latest innovations and technological advances in the aviation industry.
