Snow begins to blanket Morocco's beautiful winter landscapes

At the beginning of January, snow is covering the mountains of Bouiblane and Moussa OuSalah in the Taza area, covering the trees and roads with its white blanket.
Both the latest images captured by satellites and those shared on social networks reflect the natural beauty of the place that has been covered with a splendid layer of snow; opening the door to a Moroccan winter that has just shown us its magical side and continues to attract tourists nationally and internationally.
Start of the snow season 2024
In Morocco, the snow season has started this year 2024 from the area of Bouiblane where the thickness of snow has reached 5 cm.
Located in the region of Taza, these mountains which know a height of 3.100 meters are composed of the Bouiblane mountain and the Moussa Ou-Salah. They are emerging from the shadows and are poised to become an ideal destination for snow lovers and sportsmen and women wishing to go skiing in the heart of the Moroccan countryside.

It is worth noting that ski resorts usually open their doors when the snow cover reaches 80 to 100 cm thick. This is what Moroccan skiing enthusiasts are waiting for to practice their favourite sport or to go on an excursion with the family to one of the resorts with heavy snowfall this year.
The pictures of Mount Bouiblane showed the first snowfall of the season, accompanied by expected rainfall in different regions of Morocco. The snow photos are of Bouiblane, the mountain covered by a lovely and unique layer of snow whose white colour adorns the high peaks.
As a result of these snowfalls, Bouiblane mountain seems to acquire a new attraction that invites a large number of tourists and mountain hikers to explore the winter landscapes; as well as becoming an ideal destination for skiing and snowboarding tours in Morocco.
Bouiblane is a mountain in the Fez-Mequinez region of Morocco, located in the Middle Atlas Mountains, approximately 100 kilometres from Taza.
The area of Mount Bouiblane represents an ecological and touristic asset because of the variety of landscapes such as the Tmourghout valley, the Elbared river known for trout fishing and its Ighaz cave, Mount Adrar Ouboumlal and its panoramic view over the plain of the Moulouya river, the natural lake Tamda and the old ski resort Tisrouine.
