Iberdrola signs an alliance with Dominion Energy for the development of the Kitty Hawk North offshore wind farm

Iberdrola, through its partnership in the United States, Avangrid, and Dominion Energy have today announced a strategic agreement to promote offshore wind in the United States. Iberdrola has reached an agreement for the sale of the lease of the land that will occupy the Kitty Hawk North offshore wind farm to Dominion. 

The operation, which includes the lease area of ​​the Kitty Hawk North offshore wind farm and associated assets, is valued at 160 million dollars - about 150 million euros. 

Iberdrola retains ownership and rights associated with the Kitty Hawk South lease and will continue development of the area, which has the potential to generate up to 2.4 GW of energy for North Carolina, Virginia or other states or private companies.
