Minsait wins AWS ‘Rising Star Partner Of The Year’ award

Minsait, a leading Indra Group company in digital transformation, has been awarded the Rising Star Partner of the Year 2024 Spain award, a regional recognition from Amazon Web Services (AWS) that rewards the most outstanding partners for their innovation and specialisation in collaboration with customers to drive new business models and create solutions on the AWS cloud.
The winners were selected based on objective criteria and the results were audited by third-party analyst firm Canalys.
For Luis Abril, executive director of Indra and CEO of Minsait, this award ‘confirms the excellent work that Minsait and AWS have been doing together for years. Our commitment to innovation in business, both in data security and in scaling operations to the cloud, and the promotion of artificial intelligence to accelerate processes, allows us to position ourselves in a pre-eminent position from which to accompany organisations in their digital revolution. Doing so, moreover, together with a strategic partner like AWS helps us to offer the best digital solutions adapted to the real needs of customers and to compete in a global environment, increasingly marked by uncertainty and change’.
The Rising Star Partner of the Year 2024 award recognises Minsait's work in a year in which the company has already achieved several milestones thanks to the developments carried out under the AWS technological base, such as its AI Book, a platform for generating summaries and personalised content with AI, which is ideal for those sectors that need quick access to relevant information, allows online queries and generates summaries adapted to each user, optimising research time and facilitating access to key data.
This development was awarded the AWS GenAI Innovative Solution, an award that Minsait received during the AWS Partner Summit, an annual AWS event at which the company also received another award from the technology giant: the AWS Migrations Prospecting Hero, for being the company that creates the most valuable cloud migration opportunities.
Minsait combines its long experience in successful migrations of processes and operations to the cloud, with a comprehensive approach to digitisation that incorporates competencies in DevOps methodology, an agile engineering culture and practice that unifies software development (Dev) and operation (Ops) to meet business needs individually and quickly.
It also has a Migration and Modernisation competency, which attests to its technical expertise in AWS and the success of its customer projects. As part of its collaboration with AWS, it belongs to the Global Security & Compliance Acceleration programme, which specialises in security and compliance requirements for scaling to the cloud; it is also part of the Tech Alliance initiative, which promotes professional training for students and the adaptation of educational programmes to technology, with a focus on more than 400 vocational training centres and more than 70 universities in Spain.
In terms of projects, in addition to the aforementioned AI Book, AWS and Minsait have collaborated on other solutions such as the evolution of the reservations distribution system of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas - formerly NH Hotel Group - to Amazon Web Services; and the strategy and execution of data and process migration at BBVA.
In the energy field, both firms have collaborated with Iberdrola in the identification, approval and implementation of a data platform based on AWS services, and have carried out the first cloud-based management that enables the operation and monitoring of the critical infrastructures of a country's entire electricity grid from the cloud, developed with ENERGUATE, the electricity utility of Guatemala and the largest in Central America.
Minsait's SCADA system has been installed there, the most advanced system on the market for electricity control, consisting of a technological infrastructure that enables automatic resource allocation, adjusts resources based on consumption, and can incorporate advanced analytics and artificial intelligence technologies to facilitate learning and continuous improvement in decision-making.
The AWS Partner Network (APN) is a global partner programme focused on helping AWS partners build successful businesses or solutions based on its cloud infrastructure, while providing business, technical, marketing and sales support. The APN includes independent software vendors and systems integrators from around the world, with member partner participation growing significantly over the past 12 months.
